This policy explains what FirmChecks collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions or requests: support@firmchecks.com.
What FirmChecks does
FirmChecks shows facts from public records (GST registration and return filing data, website and domain records, and news) to help you decide whether to do business with a company. It is not a credit rating, it does not guarantee payment, and it is not affiliated with GSTN, MCA or the Government of India.
Information we collect
- Your account: your email address, your company’s email domain, your plan, and how many checks you have used.
- Billing: if you buy a plan, the company name and GST number you give us for the invoice.
- Checks you run: the GST numbers or company names you check and the date, so you can see your history and so we can stop misuse.
- Visiting cards: we read only the company name, GST number, website and city from a card photo. We do not keep the photo, or the person’s name and phone number.
- Demo requests: the name, work email, company, phone (if given) and message you send through the demo form.
How we use it
To run your account and billing, send service emails (sign-in codes, plan updates, replies to your requests), prevent abuse, and improve the service. We may follow up once about paid plans; you can ask us to stop at any time.
What we never do
We never tell a company who checked it, never show “checked N times” counts, and never sell or share your search history.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on servers we control, and on the email and hosting providers we use to run the service. Access is limited to people who need it to operate FirmChecks.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by writing to support@firmchecks.com. If a company believes something we show about it is wrong, write to the same address. We reply within 3 working days.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
